Sources closed and open

The operating system war is taking a very interesting turn as the makers of Linux are finally beginning to realize that their OS must be a usable desktop system: easy to install, configure and use by the masses. They need to do this to be able to compete on the same level with operating systems such as Microsoft Windows.

On the other side of the playing field, Microsoft finally wised up and started learning and benefiting from Linux ideas. I wonder what they'll do next: steal OS architecture from Linux, and claim it as "closed-source"?
